I ordered this for my 14 year ancient niece for Christmas and have not gifted it as yet, but I’m sure she will like it. I can just see it on an orange or yellow tee…arresting with her blond hair.
To me, it has more of a Summery look to it. That doesn’t matter although it’s Christmas. This is the perfect necklace for a teenage girl, and it’s also one that they could wear forever.
The silver and the clasp are very nice and the necklace appears to be very excellent quality. The insignia are fantastic, ranging from nearly a cobalt blue to torquoise with lighter shades of green and blue in between. There is a small dot of orange accent in some of the glass. I also like the small silver ball between each hand blown disc. I like it that they are transparent. I also like the fact that it can be made shorter or longer by adjusting the chain. This necklace certainly has a hand made feel about it!
It came in a small cardboard box lined with a square of cotton, typical of most department store jewelry. The necklace was inside a nice dark velvet pouch with a draw thread. As far as the packaging goes, it would have been nice to have a small description included that said “hand blown glass”.
A tiny bow tied to the strings of the velvet pouch will make for a much more impressive presentation than wrapping up the crummy box which incloses the nice pouch.
It finished up estimate me $22 with free shipping and the “special deal” under the description. It was a SCORE!! It looks much more like $35 or $40. Not your typical cheap looking stuff. In fact it really looks like a “keepsake”!
